Jack Bochow is an Australian photographer based in the UK. He is currently shortlisted for the 2026 British Photography Awards in Architecture, having previously been shortlisted in Fine Art in 2023. He was awarded Highly Commended in the 2024 Photography Foundation Awards, and received Silver and Honourable Mention in Architecture and Landscape at the 2025 International Analog Sparks Photography Competition. His work was most recently published in the 2026 Frayme Analog Photography Book. He has exhibited at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography and will be exhibited by Frayme in Amsterdam later in 2026

Jack shoots almost exclusively on film, embracing the slower, more considered approach it brings to both the creation and consumption of photographs. A minimalist at heart, his work searches for the innate beauty in the world through simple lines, restrained colour and clear, organic perspectives. Working primarily across landscape, architecture and fine art, he creates photographs that seek to make us feel before asking us to question.

Jack believes that photography does not always need to present a question in order to be meaningful. Feeling can come first; interpretation can follow. His work therefore places particular emphasis on atmosphere, beauty and emotional resonance, allowing the image to speak before the viewer begins to analyse it.
